SCHOOL LIBRARY RULES
General Conduct
- Maintain complete silence in library and reading room
- All students are library members
- No personal books or bags allowed (only notebooks with permission)
- Magazines/periodicals available only during school hours
Borrowing Rules
- One book per student at a time
- Standard loan period: 1 week (renewable)
- High-demand books: maximum 4 days
- Books issued only during scheduled library periods
- No book transactions during teaching hours
Reference Materials
- Reference books cannot be borrowed
- Reference materials available only during school hours
Fines & Penalties
- Late return fine: Rs. 2 per day
- Defaulters cannot borrow until fines are paid
- Lost/damaged books must be paid for in full
- No writing/marking in books (fines apply)
- Report existing damage immediately upon borrowing
Annual Schedule
- All books must be returned by March 4th
- No books issued after April 30th
- Holidays: Due dates move to next week's corresponding day
Important Notes
- Books cannot be transferred to non-members
- Librarian may recall books at any time
- Absence doesn't excuse late returns
- Annual stock checking requires full cooperation
