EXAMINATION AND PROMOTIONS
Examination Rules
- Regular periodic tests conducted along with terminal examinations
- Attendance Policy:
- No re-examinations for absent students
- Absence without valid reason results in automatic failure
- Medical certificate required for illness (does not guarantee promotion)
- Eligibility:
- All school dues must be cleared before examinations
- Minimum 75% attendance required (Principal may condone up to 10% shortage)
- Conduct Rules:
- Strict prohibition against borrowing materials during exams
- Copying/cheating may lead to:
- Expulsion from examination
- Cancellation of paper
- Detention in same class
- Special Subjects:
- Drawing, Music, Craft, Dance, and Physical Education:
- No separate term-end examinations
- Grades based on year-long performance
- Drawing, Music, Craft, Dance, and Physical Education:
- Mark verification requests considered at Principal's discretion
Promotion Policy
- Promotion Criteria:
- Regular attendance record
- Quality of class participation
- Teachers' evaluation
- Performance in written work and projects
- Sessional marks based on above criteria
- Special Cases:
- Students failing 1-2 subjects may be promoted if:
- Minimum 35% in each failed subject
- Overall aggregate of 40%
- Students failing 1-2 subjects may be promoted if:
- Important Notes:
- Final results are not reconsidered
- Failing same class twice leads to discontinuation
- Progress reports shared with parents after each exam
- Parents must sign and return progress reports
